He was my hero, has been for many years. He was the type you could go to, with anything. He wouldn't judge you hardly ever, just sat and listen treating you like in that moment you were the most important thing. I remember the way he would sit there eyes shinning and calm, blue like a cloudless sky on a warm summer day. The boundless kindness and childlike innocence he seemed to carry himself with. No matter what we were going through he would always open our door for people that needed help. The when didn't matter, in the dead of winter we had couples stay with us for short times when their cars broke down in the interstate. His phone would
